Imran Ahmed has been elected six times from Sylhet-4 seat. In 2018, the Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment got the responsibility. According to the affidavit, his annual income in 2014 was Tk 5 lakh 82 thousand. In 10 years it has increased to 44 lakh 40 thousand 251 taka.
Imran Ahmed, a tea merchant and consultant by profession, has immovable and immovable assets of Tk 3 crore 76 lakh 35 thousand 721. In 2018 which was one crore 52 lakh 38 thousand 997 taka.
According to Awami League leaders, Imran Ahmad, son of a noble family, also works as a businessman and consultant. It is natural for his wealth to increase.

Former President of Sylhet District Lawyers Association Emad Ullah Shahidul Islam said that if the accounts of the assets do not match properly then Imran Ahmad should be held accountable. If it is not acceptable in accountability, he should also take responsibility for it.
