In Lakshmipur, there was no trace even after 5 days of entering the house and picking up a schoolgirl. In this incident, a case has been filed against 10 people in the police station, but 8 accused including the main accused are still out of touch. The accused are threatening to withdraw the case, including death. However, the police say that an operation is underway to catch the accused and rescue the abducted student.

A month and a half ago, the schoolgirl came from Dhaka to visit various houses in Pachpara area of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila after the eighth class annual examination of the school. On the evening of December 26, 20-25 masked youths entered the house with boat markers chanting election slogans. At one stage, 8-10 people led by Russell Hossain Apu went into the house and cut off the electricity connection. After that, the girl’s mother and brother and others took her by the arms. At that time, if they were interrupted, they showed intimidation by stopping their weapons.

In this incident, the next day, the girl’s mother filed a case against 10 people at Chandraganj police station. Russell Hossain Apu was made the main accused in the case. Later, the police conducted raids at various places and arrested the accused Anwar Hossain and Rubel Patwari. The main accused and others are still at large. Since the incident, the defendants have been threatening the plaintiff with death to withdraw the case. As a result, the family of the abducted schoolgirl is suffering from insecurity.

The mother of the abducted student said, “The terrorists entered the house with slogans of boat markers and took the girl hostage at gunpoint.” Even after 5 days of this incident, the main accused and others are still out of reach. The accused are threatening death to withdraw the case. As a result, I am suffering from extreme insecurity. I demand the arrest of those involved and the rescue of the girl.
