Evaly founder Mohammad Russell was released on bail. He was released on bail from Kashimpur Jail on Monday afternoon. The matter was confirmed by Russell’s lawyer Ahsanul Karim, a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court.

Russell was released on bail on Monday after the hearing of a check fraud case by a customer in Chittagong.

Soon after its launch in December 2018, online marketplace Evaly responded by advertising products at low prices. However, the dissatisfaction of customers is increasing without getting the product even with money.

RAB arrested Evely’s managing director Russell and his wife Shamima Nasreen, the company’s chairman, on September 16, 2021, amid growing complaints. After that many cases were filed against them all over the country on various charges including check forgery, non-receipt of goods with money.

Shamima Nasreen was released on bail on April 6 last year, but Russell was in jail. Thousands of customers and merchants once again demanded the return of dues after the news of Russell’s release on Monday.
