European Union is interested in increasing trade with Bangladesh. European Union (EU) Ambassador to Bangladesh Charles Whiteley said this after a meeting with Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali at the Secretariat on Monday.
After the meeting, Charles Whiteley said, ‘Possible economic issues were discussed. EU has 24 billion euro trade with Bangladesh. I want to increase it. We want the export of Bangladeshi products to the EU to increase.
The meeting discussed possible economic issues between the two. Apart from this, various projects and budget support were also discussed.
Charles Whiteley also said that in 2026, the European Union will provide all kinds of support to make Bangladesh’s graduation from the list of least developed to developing countries easier.
