England failed miserably in the last ODI World Cup. After such a failure in the World Cup held in India, the Englishmen are coming to India with new plans in the new year. Ben Stokes will play a five-match Test series at the end of this month (January). The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has taken a different route for this long tour.

English cricketers have been playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a long time. However, there is no success in Test cricket for the national team. They are returning to red ball cricket for the first time after the World Cup failure. Brandon McCullum’s men will begin the long tour of the five-match series with the first Test in Hyderabad on January 25.

However, before the start of the tour of India, the English Cricket Board made an announcement in front of the Indians. The English media The Telegraph said in a report that the England cricket team will take its own cook on the tour of India. The ECB has also given an explanation behind such a decision.

According to a report in the Telegraph, the England Cricket Board is concerned about the health of the cricketers. That’s why ECB is going to send its own cook. According to the board, “This decision has nothing to do with providing all facilities including cleanliness of hotels in India. Many cricketers eat only energy bars and pizza to avoid oil and spices. To prevent this from happening on long trips, a personal cook is being taken with the team. The cook will join the team in Hyderabad before the start of the first Test on January 25 to take care of the cricketers’ food. “

ECB also said that the England team will travel to India with their own cooks mainly to avoid illness. Earlier, many cricketers could not play at their 100% due to food related diseases while visiting Pakistan. So this time, the English are in a cautious position in advance for their visit to India.

However, Indian supporters are angry with the ECB since this report. Karthik Gupta wrote on social media, “Indian food is the best, ask everyone (English cricketers) and they will say butter chicken is their favorite.”

Another person named Rachit wrote, ‘From where grocery items will be brought, it will also be brought from England. Because cricketers can get sick through these too.’

England will start the upcoming India tour with the Hyderabad Test on January 25-29. Second Test at Visakhapatnam on February 2-6. The third Test will be held in Rajkot on February 15-19. The fourth Test will be held in Ranchi on February 23-27. The fifth and final Test is March 7-11 at Dharamsala.
