In recent weeks, the wholesale price of electricity has been hovering around 80 euros per megawatt hour, i.e. at the level where it was last during the holidays of 2021. Before the fall of Bohemia Energy, before the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the energy crisis. Those who advantageously fixed the price three years ago can still pay less than 2,000 crowns for 1 MWh of power electricity. Of course, such customers are decreasing every month, but when concluding a new contract, they are definitely not in for such a shock as experienced by households in the previous two years.

Since January of this year, the government’s price ceilings, which limited the price per MWh of power electricity to 6,050 crowns, no longer apply. No currently valid offer even comes close to such a price, with a little effort and interest in the energy industry, it is possible to conclude a contract for less than half without much effort.
