The District Election Commission has sent election equipment and election management officers to 18 Helisti centers in Rangamati. The District Election Commission has sent election equipment and election management officers to 18 helicity centers of Barkal, Jurachhari, Baghaichhari, Bilaichhari upazila Rangamati from 9 am on Thursday. Out of the total 213 centers in this election, helicopters are being used in 18 centers due to remote areas. There are 18 polling stations in such remote areas in the 299 Parbatya Rangamati Parliamentary Constituencies comprising 10 upazilas of the district. There is no option but to use helicopters in these centers. Therefore, the District Election Commission had already sent a letter to the EC to take necessary measures for the use of helicopters.

Meanwhile, 3 candidates are contesting for only one seat in the district in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections. They are – Awami League nominee Dipankar Talukdar (present MP), Amar Kumar Dey of Bangladesh Cultural Liberation Jot and Trinamool BNP. Mizanur Rahman.
