Occupying Israel continues its attacks on the Palestinian-besieged Gaza. The Israeli forces have dropped more than 500 bombs in Gaza in two months. Some of these bombs weigh two thousand pounds (about 900 kg).
Al-Jazeera, a Qatar-based media outlet, said in a report that 60 percent of Gaza’s housing system had been destroyed in the attack of these American-made bombs. And 50 percent of northern Gaza’s infrastructure has been reduced to rubble.
For more than two months, Gaza has been bombarded by the occupying forces. The valley’s refugee camps and hospitals have also collapsed.
Military analysts say these bombs kill or seriously injure people within 1,000 feet of where they hit. By analyzing satellite images, this information was reported by the American media CNN and synthetic intelligence company.
Military analysts say the bombs are more destructive than those used by the US military against the Islamic State group in Iraq.
Analysts claim that most of the bombs used in Gaza are American-made or based on their technology. Because of this, the situation in Gaza is worse than Aleppo in Syria and Mariupol in Ukraine.
According to analysts, the situation in Gaza is worse than the port city of Mariupol, which was the most affected by the special military operation of Russian forces in Ukraine. More civilians have been killed in the Gaza war in the past two and a half months than in the three-year anti-IS battle in Aleppo, Syria.
And the damage suffered by Germany during the Second World War in the attack of the Allies, has exceeded the Gaza Strip.
The UN Security Council has passed a resolution to send adequate humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip. However, there is no ceasefire in this proposal. The vote was held on Friday.
Al-Jazeera, a Qatar-based media outlet, said that 13 countries out of a total of 15 countries in the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution, but the United States and Russia abstained from voting. As a result, the proposal passed by a vote of 13-0.
Before this, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made the proposal in the Security Council on December 15. First it called for an ‘immediate cessation of hostilities’. However, in the last few days, the language of the proposal has been changed in the face of American pressure.
Russia, one of the permanent members of the Security Council, said this proposal was a “toothless” and “incompetent” proposal.
Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said that the resolution did not mention a ceasefire. Instead, it has given the Israeli military full freedom to carry out more brutality in the Gaza Strip.
