Driver dies after private car overturns in Munshiganj

Ghazaria of Munshiganj, a private car lost control and collided with the divider, killing the driver. One passenger was injured. The incident took place at Baluakandi area of ​​Dhaka-Chittagong highway at around 11 am on Wednesday.

This has been confirmed by SI Riad Hossain of Ghazaria Highway Police Outpost.

The name of the deceased private car driver is Abdur Rahim (50). He is the son of Surat Ali of Rezzakpur village of Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali district. The other injured person is estimated to be 45 years old. His identity was not found. However, he was reportedly a passenger in a private car.

According to the witnesses of the incident, a private car from Noakhali to Dhaka came in front of Saddam Highway Hotel and Restaurant in Baluakandi and the driver lost control. At that time, the car hit the road divider and overturned. The driver died on the spot. A passenger in the car was seriously injured. Locals rescued the injured and sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
