Begum Roshan Ershad, the main sponsor of the party and the leader of the opposition in the 11th National Assembly, has raised the call of the Jatiya Party’s grassroots leaders and activists who have been left without guardians due to incompetent leadership and wrong decisions in the 12th National Assembly elections. He will exchange views with party candidates and Trinamool leaders on Sunday.
This was stated in a press release sent by Kazi Lutful Kabir, special assistant to the opposition leader’s mouthpiece on Saturday.
According to the notification, the top leaders of the party will also participate in this exchange meeting with the leaders and workers of different levels of the party at the residence of the leader of the opposition party in Gulshan of the capital.
The press release said, ‘Pallibandhu Hussain Muhammad Ershad, the greatest reformer of South Asia, established the Jatiya Party on January 1, 1986 with the conviction of building a new Bangladesh. Pallibandhu’s wife, Begum Roshan Ershad, who has repeatedly emerged as a savior during the many crises of the party in the past 37 years. In the twelfth parliament election, as the nomination of qualified and devoted leaders was not confirmed, he did not participate in the vote, abandoning his own interests.
