Dhaka tops the list of polluted cities

Dhaka has topped the list of most polluted cities in the world. According to the observation of the international air technology company IQAir, the capital topped the list of very unhealthy air at 10 am on Saturday.

Dhaka’s Purbachal area was the most polluted on Saturday, with the air in the area fluctuating from ‘very unhealthy’ to ‘hazardous levels’.

If AQI is 101 to 150, the air is considered unhealthy for children, elderly, respiratory patients, and 151 to 200 is considered unhealthy for everyone. And AQI of 200 to 300 is very unhealthy and above 301 the air is considered dangerous.

Dhaka’s air was unhealthy throughout this month. Dhaka’s air quality was very unhealthy for 21 days. Dhaka’s pollution reached dangerous levels on Friday, with air quality at 317.
