Two persons were arrested with 700 bottles of Phencidil from Benapole in Jessore. On Tuesday, these phencidils were seized on the south bank of the Ichamati river on the north side of Ahsanur Rahman’s Ambagan in Putkhali village on the border of Benapole.
The arrested are Nayan Hossain (25) son of Abdul Malek of Putkhali village and Billal Hossain (21) son of Habibur Rahman of the same village. RAB said that they are involved in drug trade.
Jessore RAB-6 Company Commander Mohammad Sakib Hossain said that RAB came to know that some drug dealers are staying on the south bank of Ichamati River on the north side of Ambagan of Ahsanur Rahman of Putkhali village to sell Phencidil. After that Nayan and Billal were arrested by raiding there.
Mohammad Sakib Hossain also said that 700 bottles of phensidyl in 4 sacks were seized from the place shown to the arrested persons. They were searched and 29,500 takas of drug sales were found.
The RAB official also said that the arrested two youths have been handed over to the Benapole Port Police Station on Tuesday afternoon with a case under the Drug Act.
