Malaysian diaspora congratulated Fazle Noor Bappi for winning the chess competition held in Chittagong. Kriti is a Malaysian expatriate.
Chittagong Port City Senior Club organized the Mohan-Mithu-Bulbul Smriti International Fide Rapid Rating Chess Tournament in memory of three deceased sports organizers last Thursday in the hall of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra Club, Ice Factory Road, Chittagong. The day-long seven-round competition ends at 7 pm. The champion was Fazle Nur Bappi and the runner-up was Md. Abdul Malek. A total of 114 chess players participated in this tournament. Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel MP distributed trophies, prize money and certificates among the winners as the chief guest at the closing ceremony at 7 pm.
It should be noted that Fazle Nur Bappi, the champion of the competition, lived in Malaysia for more than a century. The Malaysian diaspora is proud and happy about Bappi’s achievements as a businessman.
