EC Anichur said that the candidature of some will be cancelled. All candidates are equal. The administration has been asked to show impartiality.
EC Anichur said that he has the right not to come to vote, but others cannot be prevented from voting. Legal action will be taken if polling is obstructed.
At this time, EC Anichur said that more transfers are coming in the administration.
No one has the right to prevent voting. Anichur Rahman said, those who want to resist voting, they will be brought under the law.
Meanwhile, EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath told reporters on Saturday that the Election Commission will be strict if independent candidates are prevented from campaigning. If necessary, the candidature will be cancelled.
Ashok Kumar said, it has been decided to withdraw the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shailkupa and Harinakund Police Stations of Jhenaidah-1 Constituency on the charge of negligence in following the Code of Conduct.
Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said in an exchange meeting at the Barisal District Commissioner’s office on Saturday that polling will be stopped if any center is rigged.
CEC Kazi Habibul Awal said that there is no scope for bias in the election. Many say the administration favors the government party. This is actually not correct. It will be understood if everyone is aware and keeps eyes and ears open.
CEC said, ‘There has been controversy over the election due to various reasons. Representatives of different countries also spoke about it. We also had a meeting. They also want free, fair and impartial elections.
At that time, Kazi Habibul Awal said about the election campaign, some unexpected events happened during the campaign. Strict instructions have been given from the Election Commission to control them.
