Cold flow: Primary school will start at 10 am

A change has been made in the teaching schedule of government primary schools in view of the cold weather. On Monday, an office order of the School Division of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education informed about the schedule change.

According to the order, in view of the difficulties faced by the students due to the ongoing cold wave across the country, the teaching activities of all government primary schools will start from 10 am till January 31.

At the same time, it has been stated in the order that the instructions of the order issued on January 16 will remain in force. In that directive, it was said that if the temperature of a district falls below 10 degrees, all educational institutions will be closed.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be drizzle in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions along with the southern districts of Dhaka on Wednesday and Thursday. Apart from this, cold currents may flow at the end of the month.

Meteorologist Md. Abdur Rahman Khan told Independent Television, ‘Next Wednesday and Thursday, along with the southern districts of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may experience drizzle. However, there is no chance of rain in North Bengal. A cold wave may arrive by the end of this month. Mild cold current is flowing in all the districts of Rajshahi, Rangpur division. It will continue for a few more days.’

Meanwhile, Naogaon and Dinajpur recorded the minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees Celsius on Monday. Apart from this, the lowest temperature recorded in Dhaka on this day was 12.1 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest this season.
