Clash between supporters of Netrakona Awami League and independent candidates

There was a clash between the supporters of Awami League and independent candidates in Kendua of Netrakona-3 constituency. At least 12 people were injured on both sides. Apart from this, some motorcycles were vandalized.

The clash took place at Maska Bazaar of the upazila on Monday around 8 pm.

According to the locals, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kendua Police Station Enamul Haque said that there was a sudden fight-chasing and beating between supporters of independent candidate Iftekhar Uddin Talukder Pintu and Awami League candidate Asim Kumar Ukil in the market at night. During this time, some motorcycles were vandalized.

When 12 people were injured, they took first aid at Upazila Health Complex and various clinics. The police were immediately sent to the spot after receiving the information. Currently the situation is under control.

The OC also said that no complaint has been filed yet. Complaints will take legal action.
