Locals said that during the boat symbol rally in Kusumhati area on Wednesday night, some youths who supported the truck marker in the area did a motorcycle exercise several times in front of the rally. The supporters of the boat stopped them and slapped them. Due to this, when the supporters of the truck protested, there was a back-and-forth chase between the two sides. At this time, two motorcycles of both parties were vandalized. At least 5 youths were injured.

Because of this, supporters of the boat stopped and beat up the truck marker supporters and vandalized motorcycles in Raghunath Bazar area of the city.

In protest of this incident and terrorist activities, the supporters of Truck Marker held a protest march and rally in the district town at night. It was led by Sherpur District Awami League general secretary independent candidate Chanwar Hossain Chanu, Sherpur Zilla Parishad member Humayun Kabir Ruman, Sherpur Municipality Mayor Golam Mohammad Kibria Liton and Sherpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman.

In the meeting, Chanoar Hossain Chanu said, ‘Atiur Rahman Atiq’s head is upset after knowing our sure victory. That is why he chose the path of terrorism. We strongly protest this and demand punishment of the culprits.’
