Police recovered the body of a 6-year-old child named Nafia Akhtar after 12 hours of disappearance in Sujanagar, Pabna. There are injury marks on his body. Relatives alleged that he was killed in a planned manner.

According to police and locals, Nafia, daughter of Nazmul Biswas of Aminpur Biswaspara village of Sujanagar upazila, visited her maternal grandfather’s house in Sarirvita Paschimpara village four days ago. The relatives could not find any trace of Nafia since 12 noon on Sunday.

On Monday morning, they saw Nafia’s body lying next to the tube well near the bathroom of Nana’s house and informed the police. Later, Aminpur police station recovered Nafia’s body from the spot and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Nazmul Biswas, the father of the deceased, alleged that the miscreants left him at the place after killing him. But he is unable to say why, for what reason his daughter was killed.

Confirming the matter, Aminpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harunor Rashid said that there were injury marks on the victim’s body. Investigation is ongoing. Details will be known after the autopsy. The victim’s father Nazmul Biswas has filed a murder case as the plaintiff.
