Being Jeetendra’s son, Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor has been in the news since the beginning of his career. Success was not forthcoming. Even at the age of 47, he could not find a life partner of his choice. But he is the father of a 7-year-old son! The ‘Golmaal’ actor got a taste of fatherhood despite the lack of a partner. In 2016, the unmarried Tushar shocked the news of becoming a father. Yes, Tushar became the father of son Lakshya through surrogacy.
Tushar also feels that becoming a father is a blessing for him. However, he had to face various questions from his son. Maybe he couldn’t give a mind-blowing answer.
Recently, Tushar had an open conversation about fatherhood. The actor told Times of India, ‘I have never felt the need for a partner. My life has become fuller, more active and full of joy after the birth of Laksha. He completed my family. Before I didn’t have a world outside of work, that changed after the goal. I don’t even have a social life. So I didn’t think I sacrificed anything. Now I go to birthday parties, attend school functions, talk to other parents. They help me’.
The son is only seven years old. Little by little the goal is getting bigger. When he sees his friends’ mothers, he never asks, ‘Why don’t I have a mother?’ Tushar said that so far he has not faced such a question. The actor said, ‘She actually understands that she has only father. His family may be a bit unorthodox, but completely normal and complete’.
Rules have changed over time. Now according to Indian law, single men or women or same-sex couples cannot have children through surrogacy.
Meanwhile, Tushar has also written a book on the unconventional journey of fatherhood – ‘Bachelor Dad’. The decision to become a single father is the best decision of his life. Faithful Tushar.
