Charges in Emperor’s illegal wealth case postponed

The court has postponed the date of hearing regarding the framing of charges against Ismail Chowdhury Samrat, the expelled president of Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo League in the case of acquisition of wealth beyond the known income.

Judge of Dhaka Special Court-6. The case was for charge hearing in Manjurul Imam’s court today on Monday. That is why the emperor appeared in the court in the morning. However, his lawyers requested to postpone the hearing. The court allowed the time application and fixed the next date of hearing on March 5.

It is known that on November 12, 2019, ACC Deputy Director Md. Jahangir Alam filed the case against the emperor for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth of 2 crores 94 lakhs 80 thousand 87 rupees.
