Chittagong, Sylhet and Barisal divisions may experience rain today. Besides, the day temperature remains unchanged across the country, but the night temperature may decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. This information was informed by the Department of Meteorology on Friday.
The department said that there may be rain at two places each in Barisal and Chittagong divisions on Saturday as well. However, the rains in the whole country will end today after Friday. There is a risk of mild cold current in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Jessore and Kushtia from next Sunday.
After that, the temperature of the whole country will increase gradually. The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at Tentulia on Thursday at 10.8 degrees Celsius. At that time the temperature of the capital was 17.8 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologist Bajlur Rashid said, ‘The rain is due to the influence of moisture from the Arabian Sea and the low pressure from the east. This effect will wear off by Friday. Then it won’t rain anymore. However, there may be rain in one or two places of Barisal and Chittagong on Saturday. The sky is cloudy, so when the surface heats up, the temperature does not drop much. As a result, the feeling of winter is less.
But after the rain, the temperature will drop if the sky is cloudless. There may be mild cold in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Jessore and Kushtia from Sunday.
