Bus-microbus collided in Gopalganj, businessman killed

A businessman named Mustafa Kamal (55) was killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a microbus in Gopalganj. Four people including his wife and two daughters were injured in the incident.

The accident took place at Dumdia area of ​​Gopalganj Sadar Upazila on Dhaka-Khulna highway on Thursday (December 7) around 10:30 pm.

The deceased businessman Mustafa Kamal is the son of Kadam Ali of Barisal. He did business in Dhaka and lived in Wari Hatkhola area.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Mohammad Anichur Rahman said that Mustafa Kamal was going to Barisal with his wife and two daughters in a microbus. When the microbus reached the spot, it collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound Rajiv Paribahan passenger bus coming from the opposite direction. Businessman Mustafa Kamal was killed on the spot and four others including his wife and two daughters were injured.

After receiving the information, the police went to the spot and rescued the injured and took them to Gopalganj 250 bedded general hospital. The seriously injured wife and two daughters were taken to Dhaka for better treatment. However, the police officer could not reveal the name of the injured.
