Emmy Award-winning actor Andre Brauer has died. He died on Monday (December 11) at the age of 61. News of Variety.

The actor’s manager Jennifer Allen told the media that he died within a few days of illness.

Andre Brauer is survived by his actress wife Amy Brabson and three children – Michael, Isaiah and John Wesley. Notably, his wife acted in ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’ with Bauer. But the actor gained the most popularity in ‘Brooklyn Nine Nine’ series.

From 2013 to 2021, Brower played the role of Captain Raymond Holt in the police comedy series ‘Brooklyn Nine Nine’. Later he was also known for his role as Detective Frank Pembleton in the drama ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’. Brauer won an Emmy for the series.

Incidentally, actor Andre Brauer was born on July 1, 1962 in Chicago. He received his higher education from St. Ignatius College Prep. He later received a scholarship to Stanford University, where he graduated in theater in 1984.

Andre Brauer made his film debut in 1989 in Glory, opposite Matthew Broderick and Denzel Washington. He played Thomas Searles.
