Britain’s King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer. British media BBC reported on Buckingham Palace.
According to reports, it is not prostate cancer, but the disease was diagnosed during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The type of cancer was not disclosed. But according to a palace statement, the king began “regular treatment” on Monday.
Buckingham Palace said the monarch “is completely positive about his treatment and is looking forward to returning to full duty as soon as possible”.
King Charles will continue in his constitutional role as head of state despite taking a temporary break from his duties to receive cancer treatment.
King Charles III, 75, was seen at a church in Sandringham on Sunday, where he waved to the gathered crowd.
He underwent prostate treatment at a private hospital in London more than a week ago.
