Bratislava is coming with changes in parking policy from Monday. The city will unify the regulation times in the PAAS zones

The capital is preparing the unification of regulation times in the zones of the Bratislava Parking Assistant System (PAAS). Tehelné pole in Nové Mesto is the first zone of the city-wide parking system to undergo a change. The change will take effect on Monday, March 25. He informs about it on the social network.

High occupancy during events

In the Tehelné pole locality, the regulation time will be from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., from Monday to Sunday. This means that visitors to the zone will park for free from midnight to 8:00 a.m., and from 8:00 a.m. to midnight for an unchanged hourly rate of 1.50 euros.

“Due to the high level of occupancy during events at the stadiums, the zone remains charged even during the weekend,” the municipality notes. Currently, the regulation applies from 00:00 to 24:00.

When changing the time tariff, the municipality also took into account the demands of the residents of the given location, which will reduce the amount of hours consumed from the visitor parking card. Last but not least, the time will be unified with the neighboring old town zone SM1 and SM0.

A similar change is also announced by the municipality in Ružinov in the Nivy area. This will unify the times in the zones in the wider center, where the onslaught on parking capacities is greater even during the day.

The capital approaches the new rules in several zones on the basis of an evaluation of their functioning and also feedback from residents.

The changes will also affect other city districts

In zones where there is a high level of civic amenities, institutions or companies and the onslaught of parking even during the day (the center and the wider city center), the parking regulation time will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In zones where the primary function is residential and civic amenities, institutions or companies to a lesser extent, the time of parking regulation on working days will be from 12.00 to 24.00 h. This regulation time has, for example, the Dvory IV, V and VI locations in Petržalka, the Biely kríž location in Nové Mesto or Štrkovec in Ružinov.

It is also announced for Krasňany in Rač. “This time of regulation places emphasis on regulation especially in the afternoon and evening hours, when the most residents park in the zones,” the municipality notes.

In zones with an almost exclusively residential function, the time of parking regulation will be from 14:00 to 24:00, for example in the prepared zone in Karlová Ves or Dúbravka.

For residents with permanent residence anywhere in Bratislava, the option of using the bonus card is still available. They can park with it for free for two hours every day in most zones.
