Body of housewife recovered from Khilgaon

Deleted from a house in capital’s Khilgaon. The police recovered the hanging body of a housewife named Mim Akhtar (19).

On Saturday (December 23) around 3:30 p.m., he was brought unconscious to the Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the doctor in charge of the emergency department.

Meem Satarkul is the daughter of Shamim Shikder of Badda area. At present the husband md. Imam Hussain lived on rent in a house next to Sepahi Bagh Tempustand.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Khilgaon Police Station Sonia Parveen said, ‘On receiving the news, we recovered the unconscious body of the housewife from a room on the sixth floor of the house with a veil tied around her neck hanging from a fan. Later, he was quickly brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical, the doctor in charge declared him dead after the examination.

Citing preliminary investigation, Sonia Parveen said that such an incident could happen due to a family dispute between husband and wife. The family of the housewife has been informed.

The body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College morgue for post-mortem. The police officer also said that the legal process is ongoing in this regard.
