Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has commented that the campaign that BNP is conducting against the elections is a form of treason. He made this comment in response to a question from journalists at the secretariat on Sunday.
The Home Minister said that they have been conspiring against the election since the beginning. Law and order forces are keeping an eye on the campaign that is being carried out now. Action will be taken in case of large scale.
The Home Minister said that there is intelligence surveillance on these matters regarding the fear of major sabotage and secret murder of several ministers around the elections. If something like this is to be done, the law and order forces will take action in advance.
Regarding the report of the Law and Arbitration Center on extrajudicial killings, Asaduzzaman Khan said, it has been seen in the past that the reports of such organizations and foreign organizations are not true. In this case, the information of the country’s human rights commission is important.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal announced the schedule of the 12th National Assembly elections on November 15. According to the schedule, the vote will be held on January 7. Out of the 44 parties registered by the Election Commission, 28 parties are participating in this election. Other like-minded parties including BNP are not participating.
