Planning Minister MA Mannan said, ‘There is a party called BNP, which has no face to come to the elections. What will they stand for, what will they show the people of the country. They have nothing. So they want to destroy the election system by using fire terror.’

Awami League nominated boat candidate and Planning Minister MA Mannan said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a road meeting organized in Patharia Bazar of Shantiganj Upazila of Sunamganj-3 Constituency on Monday afternoon.

At that time, the minister said, ‘BNP goes door to door crying to foreigners. No one listens to them anymore. Distributing leaflets from house to house is not working. No one cares what they say. The people of the country want development and BNP wants loss.

‘This country is ours, we are not hostage to anyone. Therefore, I will bring Sheikh Hasina back to power by voting in a festive atmosphere on January 7.’

MA Mannan also said, ‘I had only one purpose in life, to serve the people of the village. God gave me that opportunity. Sheikh Hasina always tells me that she does everything necessary for the development of village people. I am also doing that. He is our best friend. Many people in the country were homeless. There was no house. The prime minister gave them a house who lived on the streets. Which is nowhere else in the world. We have touched village to village with community clinics, roads, bridges, culverts, schools and colleges. Village will be the city, we are giving utmost importance to the implementation of this slogan.’

President of Patharia Union Awami League Ali Nawaz presided over and moderated by Advocate Shafiqul Islam, General Secretary of Sunamganj District Awami League Noman Bakhat Palin, Chairman of Dirai Upazila Parishad Manjur Alam Chowdhury and many others spoke at the meeting.
