BNP has announced a nationwide 48-hour strike program on January 6 and 7 to demand the government’s resignation and 1 round of elections under a non-partisan government.

The program was announced on the party’s verified Facebook page on Thursday afternoon. In addition, on Friday, January 5, a procession and mass communication program will be held.

It is to be noted that between the attacks and clashes on October 28, the BNP held a morning-evening hartal across the country on October 29 in protest against the Mahasambesh Pand Hall in Dhaka. After this, many top leaders including the party’s general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir were arrested.

Since then, ie since October 31, BNP has organized blockades and hartal programs on roads, railways and waterways.
