The court has rejected the remand and bail application of Aminul Haque, member secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP, in a case of sabotage of Paltan Model Police Station in the capital. One day he is ordered to be interrogated at Jailgate.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury gave this order after the court hearing on Sunday.
The investigating officer of the case, Police Inspector Tariqul Islam of the Motijheel Zonal Team of Metropolitan Detective Police applied for a seven-day remand showing the arrest of Aminul Haque on January 2.
On this day, the court granted the application to show his arrest. Then the remand hearing was held.
On behalf of Aminul Haque, his lawyer Syed Zainul Abedin Mejbah applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand. It was opposed by the state.
After hearing both parties, the court ordered his remand.
He was arrested at midnight on November 1 from a house in the capital’s Gulshan. The next day the court granted his 8-day remand in a case of Paltan police station. After the remand, he was sent to prison on November 10. He has been in prison ever since.
