The BNP has mentioned that the election which is going to be held at the beginning of next year i.e. on January 7 is a rigged and rigged election. The party says that there is no election on that day, what is happening is just drama.
A delegation of BNP said this in a virtual meeting with the European Union (EU) election expert team visiting Bangladesh today.
Sources of the meeting say that they have provided the EU with several evidences in support of this claim. It is said that there were six leaders of BNP in the meeting.
BNP has told EU that the main opposition parties are not participating in this election. Here mainly Awami League, their independent candidates and dummy candidates are participating. Besides, some parties are participating in the polls by sharing seats with the government.
Abdul Moin Khan, a member of the party’s standing committee, led the meeting on behalf of BNP. Apart from this, another member of the standing committee, Nazrul Islam Khan, member of the advisory council of party chairperson Ismail Zabiullah, international affairs secretary Humayun Kabir, organizational secretary Shama Obaid, human rights affairs secretary Asaduzzaman were present. On the other hand, Rebecca Cox and Charlotte Suebes were in the EU delegation.
Incidentally, this is the second meeting of BNP with the EU delegation.
