There is currently a conflict going on all over Myanmar. The impact of which has also reached Myanmar’s Rakhine state, which borders Bangladesh. There are constant reports of unstable conditions and conflict situations. BGB Director General Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan visited the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban districts on Sunday to monitor the border situation.
According to a press release on Sunday afternoon, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan visited the border.
BGB Director General visited Ukhiya Palangkhali BOP under BGB Cox’s Bazar Battalion (34 BGB) and Tumbru BOP and Ghumdhum border area of Naikshyongchari in Bandarban and Hoikang BOP under Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) and adjacent border areas. During the visit, the BGB Director General exchanged views with all levels of BGB members on duty at the border. During this time, he instructed everyone to perform their duties with utmost professionalism as well as to be extremely vigilant in dealing with any situation arising at the border.
During the visit BGB Director General along with senior officers of BGB Headquarters, Cox’s Bazar Region Commander, Ramu Sector Commander and other officers of BGB were present.
