Information and communication technology service provider Huawei has awarded the top three participants in Seeds for the Future 2023. Barisha Chowdhury of CSE department of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology won the best. Apart from this, the first runner-up is Subeh Tarek of BTM department of Islamic University of Technology and the second runner-up is Farshia Kawsar Chowdhury of ME department of Bangladesh University of Engineering. Besides, Barisha Chowdhury has also been announced as the best team leader.

The top 3 ‘Seeds’ (winners) are selected based on their performance in the ‘TakeForGood’ global competition round of Seeds for the Future. An award distribution ceremony was organized on this occasion at Huawei Bangladesh Academy in Gulshan of the capital on December 9. Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikdar, Huawei South Asia Region Board Member Lizongsheng, and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam. They gave away the prizes and certificates to the winners.

The idea of ​​’Seeds for the Future 2023′ was given at the event. At this time, Shyam Sundar Sikder said that all the winners of Seeds for the Future will be able to contribute in different sectors of the country. I believe Huawei has managed to create a great environment for learning through Seeds for the Future. Md. Sarwar Hossain said, it is important to find talented youth in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and give them effective ICT training through such programs. I find Seeds for the Future very inspiring. Lizhongsheng said all the seeds showed their creativity, which reflects the program’s success in training these young talents. These future leaders embody the spirit of Seeds for the Future. Their interest in bringing positive change through technology is commendable.

Earlier, six students took part in Huawei’s Seeds for the Future 2023 and went on a ten-day trip to China. During this time, they participated in technology and cultural exchange programs and visited Huawei’s world-class research and development center (R&D center) and headquarters. Besides, he participated in ‘Talent Summit 2023’ besides gaining experience about traditional and modern China. Huawei’s globally recognized flagship program is ‘Seeds for the Future’. Which has been working in digital talent development for last 15 years. More than 15,000 students worldwide have benefited from this initiative.
