In the 10th BPL, Fortune Barisal has arranged a team with many experienced Bangladeshi cricketers. The star-studded franchise has lost two of its first three matches. In the midst of such a situation, Pakistan’s veteran cricketer Shoaib Malik, who played for Barisal, is not returning to the BPL due to personal reasons.

In his place, the franchise has roped in two more Pakistani cricketers.

Ahmed Shehzad, who is the only Pakistani cricketer to score a century in three formats, has been selected by Barisal. According to the franchise, Shehzad will join the team tomorrow evening. With this opener, left-arm pacer Akif Javed is also coming to play for Barisal.

However, Barisal is gaining with Shehzad. Most foreigners are not playing full-time in other franchise leagues. But Shehzad did not get a PSL team this time, he has no problem playing the entire BPL.

He retired emotionally as he did not get a team in PSL this time. He alleged that the franchises have joined hands not to take him in the Pakistan Super League. Ahmed Shehzad also released a statement alleging such a conspiracy.

He also said that he will not play in PSL anymore, no team has taken him intentionally. So the 32-year-old batsman announced his retirement from PSL.

Shehzad scored 344 runs at a strike rate of 133.33 in the last edition of the National T20 Cup, Pakistan’s domestic tournament. Still, no PSL team considered him.

However, despite not caring about the franchise of his country, Shehzad, who retired emotionally, was recruited by the BPL Fortune Barisal team. Barisal’s fourth match of this season in Sylhet will be on January 27. Shehzad may be seen opening as Tamim’s partner with that match.
