On the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections, all the scheduled banks will be closed on January 7 to facilitate the voting rights of the officials and employees of the scheduled banks.

This information was informed in a notification of the central bank on Sunday (December 31). This notification has been issued in the light of a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration on December 28 regarding the closure of banks.

According to the notification, according to the notification of public administration on December 28, all the scheduled banks will be closed on January 7 to facilitate the exercise of voting rights and voting of the officials and employees working in the scheduled banks on the occasion of the 12th national parliament elections.

Bangladesh Bank has issued an instruction in this regard and sent it to the managing director and chief executive officer of practically all scheduled banks in the country.

Earlier, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification declaring December 28 as a general holiday. The announcement was made in a notification signed by Sonia Hasan, Deputy Secretary, Public Administration, by order of the President.
