A Bangladeshi named Siraj Bepari (45) was killed by terrorists in South Africa. The incident took place on Friday night in Falbang Almasdiribsi, South Africa.
The deceased is the son of Bepari of Chhad of Paschim Kamalapur village of Dasar upazila of Madaripur. A Bangladeshi named Barhan Matubar staying in South Africa confirmed the death to his relatives on Saturday morning.
Citing Barhan Matubar, family members said that Siraj Bepari went to a doctor in Falbang Almasdiribsi, South Africa on Friday night. On his way back home after seeing a doctor, the South African terrorists demanded money from him. When he refused to pay, the miscreants fired four shots at him. Siraj Bepari died on the spot. Currently, his body is kept in the East Talanga hospital mortuary in South Africa.
Sattar Matubbar, the neighbor of the deceased, said that the news of Siraj Bepari’s death on Saturday morning has cast a shadow of mourning among the people around our house. Now we are demanding arrangements so that we can get the body of the deceased quickly with the help of the government.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dasar Police Station Kamal Hossain said, ‘I received the news of a person from West Kamalapur being shot dead by terrorists in South Africa through the locals. However, no one from the family of the deceased has come for any assistance in this regard.
In this regard, Kaniz Afraz, Upazal Executive Officer of Dasa, said that if any kind of cooperation is needed to bring the dead body to the country, then all kinds of cooperation will be provided by the administration.
