An expatriate businessman named Nurul Huda Liton (36) was killed by terrorists in South Africa. The incident took place at 12 pm Bangladesh time on Friday (February 26) in Hilbrut area of Johannesburg.
After receiving information, the country’s law and order forces recovered his body.
It is known that Nurul Huda alias Liton’s house is in Jagatpur village of Daganbhunya upazila of Feni. He is the son of Ebadul Haque of that village.
Litonchar’s cousin, Monir Ahmad Sabuj, said the terrorists came from behind and shot him in the back as he stepped outside his business in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, and reached the front of the Liton Summit Club. Litton died after being rescued by locals and taken to hospital. The doctor on duty at the hospital said that he died due to excessive bleeding.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daganbhunya police station Abul Hasim said, ‘The deceased is the son of Ebadul Haque of Madhyam Jagatpur village. He was in business for 15 years in the Hillbrew area of Johannesburg, South Africa. At 12:00 pm Bangladesh time, I received the news that terrorists were killed in Africa.
