Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Bangladesh has sought help from China in Myanmar’s war situation. He said this during an exchange of views with journalists at the secretariat on Sunday.

General Secretary of Awami League said, ‘The war situation that has developed in Myanmar is reaching the border of Bangladesh. As a result, there has been panic in the border areas of Bangladesh. China’s cooperation has been sought in this regard. China has responded positively for cooperation in this regard.

Obaidul Quader said that in addition, about 1.3 million Rohingyas have taken refuge in Bangladesh. China’s intervention has also been sought to take them back.

General Secretary of Awami League said that after the election, the statement given by Matthew Miller from the US State Department, said two types of things. As he said that the election was not free and fair, he also said that he should have bilateral relations with Bangladesh. US Ambassador Peter Haas spoke in the same tone. But they did not say that the election was flawed.

Obaidul Quader said that they should have relations for the development of the country. Crisis is going on everywhere in the world. I do not want to spoil the relationship with anyone.
