Bangladesh lost the mystery before the start

Alis Al Islam was called up to the Bangladesh national team due to his great performance at the beginning of the Bangladesh Premier League. Franchise coach Salahuddin objected to this. He commented that he should not have been called so soon. However, he also understood that the national team could not handle Lova as a mystery spinner.

The spinner, who played for Comilla Victorians, was dreaming of playing in the national team jersey for the first time. There was also a good chance of a T20 debut at home against Sri Lanka. But that dream remained elusive.

27-year-old Alis will not be able to play the Sri Lanka series due to injury. Alis got injured while playing in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Comilla played the final but was not in the XI. He has not been seen in the BPL since he injured his finger while fielding against Sylhet Strikers on February 19.

With this injury, Alis, who is waiting to make his debut for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka, has been ruled out of the entire series. Quoting a BCB source, the popular cricket website Cricbuzz confirmed Ali’s dismissal. BCB sources said, ‘Alice will need at least two more weeks to get fit. So he is not going to Sylhet with the team.’

Alis got 9 wickets in 8 matches in BPL for Comilla. Bangladesh will play the first T20 of the three-match series against Sri Lanka in Sylhet on March 4. The remaining two matches of the series will be held on March 6 and 9 in Sylhet.
