Dr. Jamilur has been felicitated by the Bangladesh Embassy for standing by the side of late Ibrahim, a Bangladeshi living in France, and for his humanitarian work. Leaders of various community organizations were present at the reception organized in the ballroom of the embassy on Friday.
Bangladesh Ambassador to France Khandaker M Talha named Dr. Jamilur as a humanitarian and said, “The humanitarian work he did by taking a comatose patient to his mother in the patient’s home country will be an example.”
The ambassador also said, ‘Ibrahim, who suffered from cancer, was a Bangladeshi. At the end of his life, he requested to go to his mother in his own country. But sending him home was not very easy. With the help of Dr. Jamilur, this task becomes easier.’
Ambassador Khandkar M Talha greeted Dr. Jamilur with flowers. On behalf of the embassy, he expressed gratitude and thanks to Dr. Jamilur.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Mahat thanked journalist Mohammad Lutfur Rahman Babu and Barisal Divisional Community for playing a role in this work. He said, ‘Everyone should come forward with a positive view for the welfare of the community.’
Receiving the reception, Dr. Jamilur said, ‘This reception will encourage me more in humanitarian work.’ He expressed his gratitude to the embassy.
