Under the initiative of Bangladesh Embassy Ankara, the two-day “Bangladesh Day” was celebrated in a festive atmosphere at EUJ School in Ankara, Turkey. On the occasion of the day, there were various events on December 12 and 13.

Ambassador of Bangladesh to Turkey. Amanul Haque along with his wife Runa Mahzabin Ahmad and other embassy officials attended the school at EUJ. He distributes gift items among small children. The ambassador introduced “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” and the heritage and culture of Bangladesh to the Turkish children.
It is to be noted that since the victory of Bangladesh was achieved in the month of December, the entire month of December will be celebrated under the title of Bangladesh in “EUZ School”.
Later, a two-part discussion program on “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” and the heritage and culture of Bangladesh was organized in the auditorium of EUJ School.
In the first phase, a video titled “Beautiful Bangladesh” was screened among the children from play-group to class 5 and in the second phase from class 6 to class 12. Ambassador Amanul Haque spoke about the career of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the emergence of Bangladesh as a developing country under the leadership of his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The younger students asked the ambassador questions about Bangabandhu and Bangladesh based on the video and the ambassador’s speech, and the ambassador answered their questions.
On the second day i.e. on December 13, the students of EUJ school divided into three groups and visited the Bangladesh Embassy built on their own land in Ankara to get to know Bangladesh better. They visited Bangabandhu’s bust, Bangabandhu Mural, Shaheed Sheikh Russell Room and Shaheed Minar at the embassy. During the visit, the ambassador informed the students in detail about Bangabandhu and his family martyrs and language martyrs. The students also enthusiastically expressed their interest in hearing from the ambassador.
The Ambassador greeted the students and bade them farewell.
