The world’s largest fair for the home textile industry was held in Frankfurt, Germany. This year, about 2,838 companies from 60 countries participated in the largest fair of the home textile industry.
17 companies of Bangladesh participated in the fair this year to spread various products of home textile industry including towels, bed sheets in the global market. Among them, several big companies including Noman Terry Towel, Jabir Jubair Fabrics, Momtex Expo, Shabab Fabrics, ACS Textiles from Bangladesh participated.
In addition, six Bangladeshi companies participated in the fair with the cooperation of Bangladesh Export Development Bureau and under the supervision of Saiful Islam, Minister (Commercial) of Bangladesh Embassy in Germany.
Business representatives who participated in the fair said that they are working to spread various home textile products produced in Bangladesh in the world market. They believe that the government’s focus on the home textile industry and increasing the amount of incentives in this sector will increase the export volume.
Yasin Mahmud, the executive director of Noman Terry Towel, the largest pavilion in Bangladesh, said that he is working to create a prosperous Bangladesh by increasing exports from Bangladesh and earning foreign currency.
According to the information provided by the fair authorities, about 46 thousand business representatives from 130 countries participated in this four-day international fair and completed their business contracts. The next fair will be held from 14 to 17 January 2025.
It should be noted that products are not sold directly in this fair. Only product display and business contracts are executed with manufacturing companies and marketing companies or institutions. Therefore, this fair plays an important role in spreading the products of the international market.
