The High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Australia, M Allama Siddiqui, commented that the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, gave perfection to the Bengali nation, which was created in a thousand years, through his magical powers.

The High Commissioner referred to the liberation war of Bangladesh as a people’s war and gratefully remembered the contribution of all those who participated in this war.
The High Commissioner urged to learn about all the stages of Bengal’s rich heritage including the Great Liberation War.
He said that the massacre of 25th March 1971 in Bangladesh is one of the heinous and terrible massacres in the history of the world. Most of the people of this country have to bear unbearable hardships.
About two hundred expatriate Bangladeshis of various professions including brave freedom fighters and their children and the officials and employees of the High Commission participated in the event organized by the Bangladesh High Commission. At that time, all those present collectively performed the national anthem. In the evening, in the cultural program at the Bangladesh High Commission, the artists of Ferrari, an organization of young generation artists living abroad in Canberra, performed patriotic songs.
During this time, the children and teenagers of the High Commission family performed party dance. Apart from this, Sydney’s dance artists’ organization “Nrittanjali” performs dances.
Earlier in the morning, High Commissioner Allama Siddiqui hoisted the national flag at Bangladesh High Commission premises.
