The Election Commission (EC) has decided to send the ballot papers to the centers in the early morning of the polling day in the 12th National Assembly elections.
EC has issued a circular in this regard on Monday. It is said in the circular that the ballot papers will be sent to remote areas only on the night before the polls.
Earlier, Election Commissioner. Anishur Rahman informed that the ballot papers will be sent from center to center on the morning of the polling day in places where the communication system is good except remote and island areas.
However, on November 16, EC Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam said in the commission building in Agargaon that the ballot papers will go out at the district level three-four days before the election.
The process of withdrawing candidature in the 12th National Parliament election ended yesterday at 4 pm on Sunday. According to the announced schedule, the allotment of symbols to the candidates has started today on Monday. The official campaign has started.
EC secretary about the start of the campaign. Jahangir said, ‘Our message to all the candidates participating in the election, everyone should follow and abide by the election code of conduct.’
On November 15, the election commission announced the schedule of the 12th national parliament election. As per the schedule, after the allotment of symbols on Monday, the candidates can campaign till 8 am on January 5. And the voting will be on January 7.
