A writ has been filed in the High Court seeking the cancellation of the license of the United Medical College Hospital, the cancellation of the certificate of the concerned doctor and a compensation of one crore taka in the case of the death of baby Ayaan during circumcision.
Supreme Court lawyer Advocate ABM Shahjahan Akand Masum filed this public interest writ in the concerned branch on Tuesday. The writ may be heard in the High Court bench headed by Justice Mustafa Zaman.
On December 31, Ayan was circumcised under full anesthesia at Satarkul Badda United Medical College Hospital. After being kept on life support in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for 7 days, the doctors declared Ayan dead last Sunday night.
