The curtain came down on the 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival. The prize distribution and closing ceremony was held at the main auditorium of the National Museum today at 4:30 pm. At this time, the meritorious people who came to the festival handed over awards and certificates to the awardees in different categories.

Initiated by the Rainbow Film Council, awards were announced in the Asian Film Competition category, Retrospective category, Bangladesh Panorama, Cinema of the World, Children’s Films, Spiritual Films, Short and Independent Film and Women’s Film Maker categories in this year’s festival. 252 films from 74 countries including Bangladesh were screened in this 9-day festival.

China’s ‘The Cord of Life’ won the best film award at the festival. Badema won the best actress award for her excellent performance. Apart from this, India’s Anjan Dutt won the best actor award He won this award by playing the role of Mrinal Sen in the film ‘Chalchitra Akh’. Apart from this, ‘Savitri’ won the FIPRACE Award in the Full-Length Feature Film category and ‘Layla’ was selected as the Best Short Film in the Bangladesh Panorama Talent category.
