RAB-5 has arrested a person named Abul Kalam Azad Imon in the case of human trafficker, rape and fraud in Lalpur of Natore as a government employee. He was arrested from Haji Market in Lalpur Bazar on Thursday night.
Sanjay Kumar Sarkar, company captain of RAB-5 Natore camp, gave this information through a press release today at around 10 am on Friday.
Abul Kalam Azad (Imon) is the son of deceased Ayanal Haque of village Hardi in Alamdanga police station of Chuadanga.
RAB officer Sanjay Kumar Sarkar said that Abul Kalam Azad alias Iman developed a love relationship with the victim by hiding his identity. Later, he took her to various places and raped her several times. Later, he married her with fraudulent forged documents.
This RAB official also said that after marriage, Abul Kalam tried to traffic his wife (the victim) as a sex worker in the sex village. Realizing the matter, his wife informed her mother about the incident. His mother became the plaintiff and filed a case of rape, cheating and trafficking in Pangsha police station of Rajbari district. After filing the case, Abul Kalam Azad Iman went into hiding.
After that, the police sought the assistance of RAB-5 to arrest the accused Abul Kalam Azad. Following this, based on RAB intelligence, members of RAB-5 raided Natore’s Lalpur and arrested Abul Kalam Azad Imon from Haji Market area.
RAB officer Sanjay Kumar Sarkar said that Emon will be handed over to the concerned police station after the arrest.
