Israeli forces attacked a mosque and a shelter in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. It has been reported that at least 30 people have been killed. Rescue teams are working to rescue the survivors. Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information citing locals. However, Al Jazeera’s report did not mention which mosque or shelter was attacked.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces attacked the area near Al Shifa hospital in Gaza. 7 Palestinians are said to have been killed there.
Earlier, Israeli soldiers also attacked a kindergarten in Rafah area. At least 92 Palestinians were killed there, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry. The kindergarten was being used as a shelter.
Ahmad Bassam al-Jamal, a man who took refuge in the kindergarten, told AFP news agency that the children were sleeping. At this time the bombardment started. A child was killed by the bomb. But luckily three children managed to escape.
According to international human rights organizations, 75 percent of people in Gaza have been left homeless due to Israeli attacks. People there are living inhuman life due to lack of food, water and medicine.
The United Nations human rights agency UNOCHA said in a report that about 1.2 million children in Gaza suffer from mental health problems. They need immediate mental health support, UNICEF said.
On October 7 last year, Israel launched a surprise attack on the Palestinian independence organization Hamas. At least 1,200 Israelis were killed in that attack. Israeli forces then launched a counter-attack on Gaza, which continues to this day. According to the Ministry of Health of Gaza, 27 thousand 365 Palestinians have been killed so far in the Israeli attack. 66 thousand 630 people were injured.
