Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery resident doctor Tariqul Islam said that the condition of eight people who were burnt due to the explosion of the gas pipe of the filling station named Royal Petrol Pump in Mahakhali of the capital is critical. He said, although other parts of the body were less burnt, everyone’s airways were burnt.

The explosion happened at Mohakhali Royal Petrol Pump on Wednesday (December 6) around 8 pm.

In this regard, doctor Tariqul Islam said, eight people are admitted to burn institute from Mahakhali. Due to the high intensity of the fire, many people suffered minor burns to their airways. As a result, everyone’s condition is critical. All are admitted.

Tariqul Islam also said that 35 percent of Amir Hossain was burned. 60 percent of innocence, said. 65 percent of Salahuddin, 15 percent of Kamal Abedin, Md. Khair Mia 15 percent, Jeevan 8 percent, Md. Rana 5 percent and Md. Mamun suffered 5 percent burns.

The doctor said that Amir Hossain, Md. Masum, Md. Four people, including Salahuddin and Kamal Abedin, have been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Md. Two persons, including Khair Mia and Jeeban, have been shifted to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and the other two have been kept under observation in the emergency department.
