A one-day astronaut camp is starting in the port city of Chittagong to encourage children and teenagers in space science. Any child between the age of 4 to 14 years can participate in this event. Here various topics related to space will be presented in a suitable manner for children. This camp is going to be held on February 10 in the port city of Chittagong as a joint initiative of Bangladesh Innovation Forum, Premier University and Space Innovation Camper.
According to the organizers, this day-long event includes space talk about Apollo Mission, Mars Rover and Moon Rover. Along with that, there will be hand-made model rocket making, space-like robot making, VR-based astronaut training and quiz competition. Apart from this, there will be an astronaut photo booth as a special surprise. Where children and teenagers can wear astronaut dresses and take pictures.
Bangladesh Innovation Forum President Ariful Hasan Apu said that children have a lot of interest in learning about space science. What is happening in space, how do astronauts float in space? How long do they stay there? What is their role in space exploration? This arrangement is mainly to answer such unknown questions. Through this kind of program, the curiosity to know about space science will increase among them. Knowing that will also play an important role in their academic studies.
The event has Riveri Corporation and Robust Research and Development Limited as IT partners and Chittagong University Scientific Society as club partner. This camp will be held at Wasa Campus Central Auditorium of the University in collaboration with Computer Science and Engineering Department of Premier University.
